Our Nokomis kayak and paddleboard rental location offers direct access to some of the best paddling destinations near Venice, Florida. Launch from our North Jetty area and paddle to Snake Island, explore Cactus Island and Bird Island, or cruise the calm waters of Lyons Bay, Dona Bay, and Roberts Bay. These popular Gulf Coast waterways are known for shelling, shark tooth hunting, and beautiful waterfront parks that are only accessible by kayak or paddleboard.

Located in a designated Manatee Zone, our launch site provides excellent opportunities to see dolphins, manatees, fish, and coastal birds in their natural habitat. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing paddle, wildlife viewing, or a family-friendly outdoor adventure near Venice FL, Sarasota Kayak Rentals puts you right in the heart of it all.

What’s included?

Every rental includes a properly fitted PFD (available in toddler through adult sizes), a paddle, a safety whistle, a laminated map for an easy self-guided experience, and a brief intro lesson for those just getting started. Waterproof phone bags are available for purchase if you’d like to bring your phone along and capture a few photos on the water. We also have Sunscreen onsite if needed.

What will you need?

To make the most of your time on the water, we recommend bringing water shoes or sandals, drinks and snacks, sunscreen, and a beach towel.

All renters and occupants of kayaks or paddleboards must complete a waiver prior to launch. All minors (under 18 years of age) must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian, which must be presented at the time of rental.

Inclement Weather Policy: Thunderstorms and strong winds and strong tides affect our coastal area at times. We want everyone to have a fun and safe time on the water. We may cancel any reservation or close for the day if weather or water conditions could be potentially dangerous. Strong currents may restrict certain rentals or hours of operation.
