Sarasota Kayak Rentals was built on a simple idea, that the best way to experience Florida’s Gulf Coast is from the water. What started as a love for paddling along quiet shorelines and watching dolphins surface at sunset grew into a passion for sharing that experience with others.
As longtime lovers of Sarasota’s beaches, barrier islands, and peaceful Intracoastal waters, we saw how special this area truly is when explored by kayak or paddleboard. There’s something different about gliding across calm water, spotting manatees beneath you, or pulling up to a sandbar you can only reach by paddle. It’s slower, more personal, and far more connected to nature.
With years of experience in the watersports industry, we created Sarasota Kayak Rentals to offer a well-organized, welcoming, and stress-free way for guests to explore. Whether you’re a first-time paddler or a seasoned adventurer, our goal is simple: provide quality equipment, friendly guidance, and an unforgettable day on the water.

A beach enthusiast and former math teacher, Jeff made the leap from the classroom to the coastline to build a life centered around the water. Today, he proudly calls Siesta Key home and spends his days sharing the beauty of the Gulf Coast through Sarasota Kayak Rentals.
Growing up near the water, Jeff has always felt most at home outdoors — whether swimming, paddling, or spending long days on the shoreline. His love for Florida’s warm waters, barrier islands, and coastal wildlife runs deep, and he believes there’s no better way to experience the Sunshine State than from a kayak or paddleboard. Over time, that passion grew into a desire to help others connect with the same peaceful, natural side of coastal life.
As a high school junior, Jeff began working for a local watersports rental company and eventually worked his way into a management role. His background as a math teacher later strengthened his natural ability to organize, communicate, and create positive, structured experiences for families and guests.
Today, that combination of organization, energy, and genuine love for Florida’s waterways defines the Sarasota Kayak Rentals experience. Jeff can often be found arriving early to prepare for the day, greeting guests with a smile, and helping them launch into a memorable adventure — toes in the sand and paddle in hand.

Mallory brings over a decade of experience living and working in premier outdoor tourism destinations, including Oahu, Traverse City, and Moab. Her background in hospitality and adventure travel shapes the thoughtful, guest-focused experiences she creates here in Sarasota.
Today, she leads kayak tours and rentals designed to help guests slow down, explore Florida’s coastal ecosystems, and experience the water in a safe, memorable way. Her goal is simple: to create meaningful outdoor adventures that feel personal, relaxed, and well cared for.
Outside of work, Mallory spends as much time outdoors as possible, kayaking, paddleboarding, boating, rollerblading, and enjoying Florida life with her growing family. For her, this isn’t just a business — it’s a lifestyle.
